Title: Light Events
In the hall of the station holographic glass is installed in a circular window. Once a day coloured light from the window reaches two gild columns. These two columns are an important part of the design.
A tower was designed at the north side of the complex. At the top a gild needle is placed, analogous to the gild columns in the hall. The needle is surrounded by holographic glass windows. The needle penetrates the tower. At the floor level of the canteen, the needle is transformed into a mirrored light sculpture. The colours of the holographic glass are reflected in the mirror of the sculpture. Needle, holographic glass and sculpture form part of the same light installation.
Once a day coloured light from the holographic windows in the tower reaches the street outside the station.
These special sunlight events in street, hall and tower are the essence of this project.
