Colours of the glass bring orientation to the parking. The most important facet of the design is the projection of these colours by sunlight onto the environment.

Purple and blue stairway

The six stairways leading to the parking have different colours. Orientation becomes a natural phenomena. There is no need for other orientation or signs as people remember that they their car is in the neighbourhood of the 'green' stairway, where they climbed to enter the hospital. Roof lights with coloured glass strengthen the orientation. Sunlight projects the colours of the glass onto the parking.

The design has been developed in close collaboration with architect Michiel Cohen of Cezeped Architects Delft Netherlands.

The coloured glass stairways and roof lights form part of the art concept at the hospital with 'Light Seats' and a 'Coloured Glass Sculpture'.
